With the festive season rapidly
approaching, there is bound to be a glut of boring television, with endless
re-runs of Bargain Hunt. So why not put
your time to good use and invest in some online games for your Laptop, Console,
iPhone or iPad? The best part is that they
are all free, meaning you won’t even have to part with any of the hard-earned
Christmas money that has been bestowed upon you by a myriad of relatives!
Below is a rundown of the best free online
games of 2012; we have provided a broad range of online games across all
genres, which ensures that your own gaming needs are met, and you no longer
need to face another 30 minutes of David Dickinson’s colour saturation-defying
tan.
CLASH
OF CLANS (iPhone & iPad)
Clash of Clans is billed
as an epic combat strategy game, and the main aim
is to build your own village, and train your own army of Barbarians, War
Wizards, Dragons, or other warriors and lead them into battle in pursuit of
victory!
The game contains a potent mix of strategic
planning and competitive fast-paced combat; you must choose whether you want to
join a clan of other players, or to form your own clan and wage war on your
rivals, in the hope of gaining ultimate ownership of the realm. There is also the small matter of hordes of
goblins to fight off on a regular basis.
