Everybody wants a reliable vehicle, especially if you have a big family. Getting a sedan or compact car is not anymore advisable when you’re a family of 7 or 8. Not to mention, if travelling is one of your passions or you have a business where you regularly carry heavy loads. You can get a pickup truck or multi-van for that matter, but sometimes those vehicles lack the features and aesthetics that a great family vehicle requires. Well, worry no more – here comes the best AUV (Asian Utility Vehicle) on the market.

The all new Isuzu Crosswind/Sportivo variant is considered as one of the heavy muscles of Isuzu Motors, due to its performance on the market. Isuzu just claimed that the new Sportivo is the hottest selling vehicle in Southeast Asia, most specifically in the Philippines. It’s well suited to our tropical climate and the best part of it all – it’s the most reliable long distance vehicle. So, what makes Sportivo stand out from its competitors?

Here are some of its winning features:

Solid Diesel Engine – it’s using a 2.5L DI Diesel I4 engine with low-pressure turbo, it’s a proven test formula that makes the Sportivo a reliable running AUV on long trips. This type of engine is also responsible for its lifting power, you can easily compare it to a medium-size pickup truck.

Spacious Interiors – Since it’s viewed as a minivan, it has the means for capacity. The normal capacity for a regular Sportivo is 7 passengers including the driver, but this vehicle can go beyond that – at least 10 passengers including the driver.

Smooth Transmission – the Isuzu Crosswind/Sportivo uses 2 types of transmission, one is a 5-speed manual (MSG5K) and the other is a 4-speed auto (AW03-72LE). Compared to other types of AUV, Sportivo has far better gear box technology – providing smooth gear shifts all the time.

Ergonomic Body Design – compared to its predecessor - Isuzu Highlander; the new Sportivo is aesthetically beautiful and smooth on the edges. If you ask me, I’d say it’s more elegant and you can easily flaunt this vehicle in front of other more expensive SUVs like the Fortuner.

Overall, I highly recommend this AUV, because I already drove one and I know it can get you to places that a normal vehicle cannot - It’s rugged, dependable and reliable!
