Toyota 2.5L Hilux - An All Around Pick-up Truck
Toyota is known to dominate the auto industry with its best-selling vehicles that brought them skyrocketing sales. The Multi-purpose vehicle line up is considered the most successful platform from Toyota. This consist of three vehicles the Fortuner, Innova MPV and the Hilux pick-up truck. For 2013, Toyota chose the Hilux and Fortuner to have a substantial engineering upgrade and that means more powerful engine.
For starters, the Hilux will now have a new improved 2.5L D4-D
fuel injection diesel engine that can produce 163 metric horsepower. A Variable
Nozzle Turbo is now integrated inside the engine and this can increased its
power 40% more as compared to its old engines. This multi-purpose pick-up truck
is really torture-tested and can be reliable even on extreme terrains.
For its safety features, the Hilux still has ABS, dual
airbags and a solid high strength frame body that passed rigorous tests and
proven to withstand high impact crashes. Also, it’s still has Keyless Entry as
a standard feature for all of its models except for the Hilux J variant. Even
though Toyota hasn’t made any significant changes on the Hilux’s design, it’s
still look beautiful on the exterior. It may look identical to the 2011 model
both in size and design. The difference now is its identifiable bright red
color and a new hood scoop design which is created to highlight the top mount
intercooler. The placement for the top mount intercooler is now in the middle
as opposed to its previous model which is at off-center scoop.
On the interior, the Hilux looks the same as its
predecessors – the 2011 and 2012 model. The passenger seats are still spacious
and comfortable. The AC system still does its job even on hot and humid days. Also,
a new audio system is available for its higher variants, with the addition of a
DVD system that is also iPod compatible, satellite navigation and Bluetooth
capabilities – all of which is standard for a modern day pick-up truck.
When driving on an open highway, the new 2.5L D4-D engine can
really provide the adequate torque and power; it’s more than a match for the
heavier solid frames of the 2013 Hilux. So, you can expect better acceleration,
more hauling power for any of your cargo, and this pick-up truck can do short
work of uphill climbs. I also noticed, it is now much easier to overtake other
vehicles on the highway – there’s just no struggle at all.
The 2013 Toyota 2.5L Hilux is considered a reliable companion
and a very strong pick-up truck that you can use to haul heavy loads. Its price
tag is also acceptable for all of its features, and you can be sure that there
will always be spare parts available on the market – It’s a Toyota Trademark.
The price for the Hilux is as follows:
Toyota Hilux 3.0G – Php 1,474,000 (AT Variant)
Toyota Hilux 3.0G – Php 1,420,000 (MT Variant)
Toyota Hilux 2.5G – Php 1,131,000 (4x2 MT Variant) – Newest
Version for the Hilux (comes in bright red)
Toyota Hilux 2.5E – Php 972,000 (4x2 MT Variant)
