Ford Fiesta - A Contender In The Super Mini Category

The all new Ford Fiesta is one of the most preferred super mini car in the auto market today. It dominated the roads and became a favorite for most compact car buyers or anyone who wants a fuel efficient car. The biggest selling point of Ford Fiesta is its sleek design and driving performance, since it’s the only mini car that’s been mass distributed in Asian countries like the Philippines. For the 2013 model of the Ford Fiesta, we can see several distinguishing upgrade on both its design and safety features. Some of its enhancements go to its front end as we can see a narrower headlight with an oversized five bar chrome grill and LED daylight running lights. 

The Fiesta is simply the best-priced, most marketed, best-updated super mini that you can find on the market. However, the Fiesta’s most significant rival on the auto market is the Kia Rio, which has its own version of the hatchback mini. These two companies are among the giants in the super mini car industry, but they haven’t overtaken Sukuzi and its line of compact cars – not yet in Asia that is. But the Ford Fiesta would still be a logical choice if you want to own a city car that is not only reliable but aesthetically beautiful on the road. 

When it comes to its engine, the Fiesta has two the standard petrol engines. Starting with 1.0-liter three-cylinder engines, 1.25-liter four-cylinder with either 59 base HP or the all-new 79 base HP. Its engine is also pumped-up with a turbocharged Ecoboost feature, so this mini can really run fast but your gas consumption would still be at the minimal. The Ford Fiesta has two types of transmissions; the first one is a six-speed, semi-automatic Powershift transmission and the regular 5-speed manual. All of its models are equipped with a start/stop system that has the Econetic trim – making Fiesta a contender in the fuel-efficiency category.

The most distinctive feature of Ford Fiesta is its handling, it’s agile and can do short work of even the most challenging curves. However, the Fiesta is a city car and long runs are definitely not its forte before, but the new 2013 Fiesta has improved its overall ride quality including a remapped on its electronic steering. You will find it’s more relaxed and fast during your long drives.

Overall, the new Ford Fiesta 2013 is a great car to have, and it’s worth the money you’ll invest in it. For me, it’s a great super mini that can rival even the most prominent brand on the auto market and one day it can go toe-to-toe with Suzuki Swift.
