Android 4.1 or commonly
known as Jelly Bean had a recent update on mid-November 2012, and now its
Google’s efforts that made the difference. The 4.2 update is Google’s Android
and aims to roll-out to Nexus 10 tablet and Nexus 4 smartphone. This new Jelly
Bean update is geared to supply more significant features and several changes
that will make android devices more user-friendly.
Some of the great
addition to Android 4.2 is the Multiuser Support. Even on the same device each
user can have their own screen, wallpaper, apps and general setting. All this
according to each user’s preferences and cannot be access by another person.
So, you can now share your tablet with your friend without worrying about your
settings.
Also, there is a new
multi-layered security system feature that came from third party sources. These
apps are already built-in with the Android 4.2 update and they will track any
malicious code as well as any suspicious activity from any installed apps. Once
they detected an anomaly within your device, it will notify you for any
concerns.
Google has also added a
new support system for live programs that can run even on lock screen mode.
Most of the default programs that you can choose are Digital Clock, Messaging,
Gmail, Calendar and Sound search. You can also access your camera app and
Google Now intelligent assistant even when your screen is locked.
But one of the most
significant features on this update is the Photo Sphere. This particular app
takes the same technology of Google Street View. So, you can now share
360-degree images that are both interactive and realistic, but they can only be
viewed on Google+ or any android device.
Overall, the new
Android 4.2 is considered by many users to be the best update for the Jelly
Bean. Although, it is more one-side at the moment and favors only Google’s
mobile devices - it’s still a great update and would benefit other Android-based
gadgets in the future.
I like the Photo Sphere as well as the other apps.
