Practice Speed Reading Through QuickReader
In a world driven by information technology, reading is by
far the most important skill a person must have. We learned this crucial skill
in schools and through the efforts of our family. However, we tend to forget
that reading can be enhanced, and there are several techniques devised by
experts aimed at increasing the number of words our eyes can span per minute.
You may have heard of the term “Speed Reading,” and the first thing that comes
in your mind is the programs that were developed during the 90’s era. Speed
reading experts, claimed that they can read 600+ words in just one minute.
It may sound, too good to be true, but in fact – it is
possible. Although, there are varying levels of comprehension when it comes to
speed reading, it is still the most challenging skill that you can develop in
your arsenal. If you own an iPhone 5, iPod Touch or IPad 3 then you can
download a great app that might help you develop your reading skills. This App
is called QuickReader, developed and distributed by Inkstone Software, Inc.
The main objective of QuickReader is to test your speed
reading skills then record the number of word you read within a particular time
period. After that, it increases the rate of words you can read through eye and
mind coordination exercises. This method
could greatly reduce chunking and eliminate subvocalization – giving you the
means to read hundreds of words per minute.
Does it really work? As like any other speed reading app in
the market, it will really depend on the time and effort you invested on this
App. This App will just be here to support your motivation and desire to enhance
your speed reading skills. The good thing about QuickReader is that you can
integrate it with other apps like Instapaper and iBookshelf, which can give you
the means to practice on an eBook of your choice.
In my own opinion, speed reading is important and crucial to
any of our endeavors in life. You will have a better edge on your career if you
can speed read. As a blogger, it is also important because you need to gather
information in the fastest way possible – and you can only do this through
speed reading. If you’re a fast reader – imagine the possibilities… for sure
you will achieve the status of a seasoned blogger in no time.
