Samsung Galaxy Note II - More Than Just A Smartphone
Samsung
is considered the second pick when you’re buying a mobile gadget, but that
notion has changed today. As Samsung go toe to toe with Apple and got a
considerable share in the tech market. As a matter of fact, one of their
products has really made some waves. Samsung Galaxy Note is undeniably one of
the success stories of 2011. This particular gadget has sold in bucket loads
which only mean it surpassed every expectation that gadget experts thrown into
it. It’s a feat not to be underestimated, and Samsung reached that status.
No wonder
they produced a second version of that gadget, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 which
brings more power, more inches and multi-tasking prowess jam-packed in a device
that can fit in your pocket. They also took some of the design cues of Galaxy
S3, and made a bigger version of that particular flagship smartphone. It is
sleeker and with a cleaner paint job that is inspired by nature. At 9.4mm
thick, it is far slimmer than its predecessor – the original Note, which is
9.65mm thicker. However, it is much heavier than the original at 178g.
Samsung
Galaxy Note 2 run on an updated Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it also boasts a new UI
that is overlaid with seven homescreens rather than the standard five.
Currently, it has a built in app drawer and some branded apps like S-planner
and S-suggest. UI performance is also much faster now thanks to Project Butter,
they reduced the lag considerably. Another neat feature is the Note 10.1
advanced smart pen, which is based on the same technology found in the Wacom
digitizer. The smart pen has improved pressure sensitivity and is also a great
tool for any of your creative works.
You can
also expect some of the standard stuffs like an 8 mega-pixel rear camera,
bigger screen at 5.5 inches with the usual Super AMOLED quality HD display.
When it comes to processing performance, it does not disappoint – by
integrating a 1.6GHZ Quadcore Innards including 2 GB of RAM. In terms of
connectivity, it features 4G capabilities – for speedier web browsing and
greater efficiency in any of your Internet-related activities.
Overall,
it’s a great gadget and a lot cheaper than iPhone 5, but it does have some
issue with its size. It’s not really ideal to use it as a common mobile phone,
because you will look silly putting it against your ear in public areas.
However, if you can handle the size issue then it’s a great smartphone to have.
Samsung smart phones also take a larger chunk of the mobile phone users' market. This brand is giving Apple a run for its money.
